The 3rd bi-annual VIP Blogger Lounge contains all the ingredients for a delectable evening: open bar, light bites, freebies, music, mingling with blogger pals old and new, and the chance to network with cool local brands. Hosted by the Midwest Influencer Network at the newly-revived Boo Cat Club, this Spring's lineup did not disappoint. Here are some highlights from the evening:

Meero Mani Nails
The St. Louis-based press-on nail company came to the Lounge for the second time with new handmade, reusable nail designs. Their station had one of the cutest, most clever backdrops to photograph our new nails: a mini-Red Carpet lined with greenery for the "manicam." It was my first experience sending glammed up nails down the Red Carpet, but my nails were working it! Want a wide array of easy-to-wear nail art? Meero Mani Nails has it, well, nailed.

JORD Wood Watches
Next up was JORD's booth. I don't usually wear a watch, but I would happily wear one of their meticulously-crafted timepieces on my wrist. The St. Louis-based company just launched in 2013, and has already amassed a gorgeous collection for men and women. The wooden watches are simultaneously luxurious and utilitarian. As a fun touch, JORD held a contest for each blogger to design their own watch. The winning design will actually go into production, so if you see a colorful, semi-floral watch with a blue sky on the site, you'll have me to thank. :)

Paper Dolls Boutique
My mother keeps telling me about a boutique in University City (my old 'hood) that I should check out called Paper Dolls. My busy schedule and feeble attempts to trim my clothing budget hasn't allowed for much shopping lately, so I was excited to visit the boutique's pop-up shop at the Blogger Lounge. The fun, flirty clothes and accessories have me planning to visit the store very soon.

Paper Dolls Boutique has 3 locations, one of which is at 7700 Delmar.
Pinot's Palette-Webster Groves
My fave part of the night was unleashing my inner artist and creating my very own painting during a mini-class! I'd always wanted to try one of those wine-and-painting classes, but a lot of the subjects for the paintings that I've seen are pretty bland - a bottle of wine, a bowl of fruit. Based on their web site and our wacky, easy-to-follow instructor, it's clear that Pinot's Palette's paintings are exciting adn bold. They even host special date-night events where couples each paint half of a scene. (Awww!) I can't wait to attend a full class with my hubby.
My painting is proudly displayed in my cubicle at work! Photo on the right c/o Alive Mag
Pinot's Palette-Webster is at 20 Allen Suite 150 Webster Groves, MO 63119
Oh, I'm sure you're waiting with baited breath to see what I wore. I was so busy mingling and mixing that I did not get any great shots of my outfit, but I'll sum it up: thrifted, vintage, quirky. The good news is, I can wear it again for a future outfit post. (It will be worth the wait, I promise.)
