I happen to think floral prints are smart. Very smart - which is probably why I wear a floral pattern every chance I get.
Flowers can convey a mood - jubilant, dark, romantic, or nostalgic. They're also so versatile. I mean, florals can bloom comfortably on a skirt, top, pants, or dress. I was thrilled to find this sweet little floral number at a recent pop-up shop organized by The Wicked Wallflower. (The dress was hers too - I always knew I liked that gal.) I was amused and slightly puzzled to learn that they type of print on this dress is called ditsy. Does that mean it's not very bright? No. A small-scale, scattered print in any motif is often referred to as "ditsy." Irony notwithstanding, I think it proves that old saying: a rose (or print) by any other name would still smell as sweet. . .and still look as cute! What is your favorite way to wear a floral pattern?
